Caveman is a game where the goal is to guide Cavemen to the exit on the level.

:: GAME PLAY

Cavemen enter the level through an open hatch and walk aimlessly to their death or around in circles following the path outlined - specific skills can be assigned to Cavemen to create a new path and help guide the others to the designated exit.

The following skill sets are available:

- CLIMBER: scale those walls
- FLOATER: float down to safety
- EXPLODER: pop!
- BLOCKER: block the path
- BUILDER: build a bridge
- BASHER: bash a horizontal path
- MINER: mine a diagonal path
- DIGGER: dig a vertical path

Each level has a set of requirements to complete where a combination of skillsets may need to be used to solve the level - there is more than one solution available; how many cavemen can you save!

With four difficulty levels (easy, medium, obscure, insane) and 120 levels + hidden bonus levels - this game is guaranteed to bring you hours of enjoyment and gaming addiction!

:: OPTIONS

A number of game play options exist to customize the game play to individual preference; assignment of tools can be via clicking on the caveman, clicking on the toolbar or both. The game resumes play on touch by default but this can be disabled under the options screen.

:: SOLUTIONS

Mobile 1UP has worked very hard to ensure that all levels are solvable; a complete set of solution guides for every level are available on the Mobile 1UP website (high definition video and detailed walk throughts) - of course the challenge is being able to solve them on your own!

:: TIMEWARP

A special "unlock feature" has been provided where unlocked levels can be accessed via a special code; in addition to revealing special secrets of the game engine (easter eggs) - a complete list of the relevant unlock codes are available on the Mobile 1UP website. Some codes change on a daily basis - so be sure to visit often to find all the goodies that are available!

:: CREDITS

Caveman is a game inspired by the classic Lemmings developed by Psygnosis released for Amiga, DOS, et al in 1991. The project started as a port of the game, but due to intellectual property concerns the game was given a new set of graphics, audio and some custom levels to bring the game genre up to the standards expected by gamers in this era. The game was developed by Aaron Ardiri, the graphics provided by Tomas Miller, and the sounds were provided by Michael McGee.

Loved it the first time around when it was lemmings. Loved it the next time when it was cavemen. Cant wait for Cavemen 2: The Tribes.

I love this game, keeps you very entertained. But having trouble with it not saving my place in the game I keep having to start completely over. This would get 5 stars if the developer fixes this.

If you are looking for "Lemmings," the early 90s game, this is the next best option. There are lots of levels with varying levels of difficulty; providing many hours of gameplay. Instead of Lemmings you have Cavemen, but other than that it is the same game. If you are not familiar with Lemmings, give this game a try - it is a great puzzle and strategy game. It works great on my iPhone and iPad - although I would get the HD version for the iPad.

Some bad moments

Great game to see ported to iPod. Would be MUCH better if the controls worked. The locattions for tapping are slightly off, and on the iPhone it is very difficult to accuratetly click your target. I only play it on the iPad @ 2x zoom. :(

Understanding the challenge aspect of this game...one level was not completable...not a word but you know what I mean...no online support for walkthroughs etc makes it weak.

Can even play this game. It crashes every time o try and open it.

Ok so I paid $3.49 for a blank screen. I assume this is going to be fixed real quick...yet there are complaints since Sept. Why are they allowed to accept our money when it doesnt work? Im using 6s.

There is a big fault on level 19 that compromise the possibility to go on with this game!! I really hope that soon they will fix it as i have spent nearly 3euro for 9 level more than the free one! Its a big pity as the game is really nice but 3 euro for 9 level??!!!

Its just like the old Lemmings game, that part i love. But my fingers are too big or my iPhone too small but i keep screwing up, and im fed up with it. It would probably work better on the iPad though :/
